We support life-saving aid in the valley
A matter close to our hotel's heart
At the Hotel Nesslerhof, not only the well-being of our guests is important to us, but also the safety of everyone in the Grossarl Valley. That is why we have decided to make an important contribution to emergency medical care in our region together with the Kinderhotel Waldhof.
With a donation totaling around 3,000 euros, we were able to finance the equipment for a new first responder. Emergency paramedic Christian Kreuzer has now joined the existing team, which has now grown to five people. With the donated defibrillator and a special emergency backpack, he is optimally equipped for emergency operations.
What are First Responder?
First responders are specially trained Red Cross helpers who are alerted in medical emergencies in parallel to the regular rescue service. As they live directly in the communities, they can often be at the scene of an emergency much faster and initiate life-saving first aid measures until the ambulance arrives.
First responders have been working in the municipalities of Großarl and Hüttschlag since 2014 and have established themselves as an indispensable part of the rescue chain. They provide qualified first aid, carry out necessary emergency measures and support the arriving emergency services.
Personal commitment to the region
Like his four colleagues, Christian Kreuzer, the new first responder, lives in Großarl and is therefore very familiar with both communities. “I am delighted to be able to make a contribution to ensuring that the residents of Großarl and Hüttschlag receive first aid quickly in an emergency through my voluntary work,” says Kreuzer, explaining his commitment.
District rescue commander Peter Riepler emphasizes the importance of such donations: "Without financial support, it would not be possible to equip our first responders. We are very grateful to the Hotel Nesslerhof and the Kinderhotel Waldhof for their generous help."
