The great thing about swimming in the morning is that you can indulge at breakfast without feeling bad. Maybe that’s why our indoor pool is so popular in the morning. Or perhaps it is because you can start your day so relaxingly on one of the comfortable loungers in the spa area of our luxury hotel in Grossarl.

As you see, the Nesslerhof is a hotel with a great selection of saunas and swimming pools where you can really enjoy your holiday with some well-deserved pampering.

While outside the snow-covered peaks of the Grossarl Valley glisten in the winter sun, brave guests at the Nesslerhof venture into ice-cold water. What at first glance appears to be a test of courage is much more than just a trend: ice bathing is a centuries-old practice that brings body and mind into harmony and teaches us to deal with challenges more calmly.

17^th until 23^rd of October 2026

For adults: Mornings 8.00 – 9.00 am.: 60 minutes of health-oriented backstroke swimming (may vary depending on interest)

For adults: Afternoons 4.00 – 5.00 pm.: 60 minutes of group swimming training – crawl and backstroke exercises, technique training, improving your swimming style, correct use of aids, for beginners and advanced swimmers

In addition, individual lessons (11 am. to 3 pm.) can be booked for an extra charge of € 45 per 30 minutes – for both adults and children.

Children aged 4 and above can also book a beginner's swimming course.

It is particularly important for children to gain confidence in the water at an early age and improve their swimming technique – our individual lessons offer an ideal opportunity to learn in a fun and effective way.

In both summer or in winter, swimming fans always get their money’s worth at our luxury hotel with swimming pools in Salzburg, Austria. Our selection of pools is huge and includes, for example, an outdoor infinity pool with amazing panoramic views of the Grossarl Valley — a view which, we have to admit, is particularly breath-taking from our spa hotel in the Austrian Alps.

Our entire spa area is actually quite special and is open for you to use during your entire stay with us. Put on your swimsuit and jump in, no matter the weather — our pool and heated outdoor pool are open year-round. The only thing we wouldn’t recommend in winter is our natural swimming pond surrounded by our sprawling sunbathing lawn ...
