Reformer Pilates to Build Strength

Strength starts at your centre. In Reformer Pilates, controlled movements meet targeted resistance and mindful body awareness. Each session helps you build strength, stability and mobility while bringing your full attention to every movement.

An intensive yet mindful way to move and perhaps exactly the motivation you need to begin the new year with renewed energy and more movement in your life.

Breathwork to Reconnect

Breathe in. Breathe out. Arrive.

During breathwork, your attention turns entirely to your breath. For a moment, everything else can fade into the background: no to-do lists, no resolutions to achieve – just you and the present moment.

A conscious pause between movement and cold-water immersion, surrounded by the tranquillity of the Salzburg Alps.

Cold-Water Immersion to Let Go

Sometimes, letting go means stepping outside your comfort zone. During cold-water immersion, you focus on what matters in that moment: your breath, your body and the here and now.

The cold creates a powerful contrast – intense, invigorating and experienced together. Afterwards, warmth returns, leaving you time to unwind, reflect and simply feel.

Happiness Session – Inspiration That Stays With You

Every Nesslerhof retreat includes a special Happiness Session – a moment dedicated to exploring what makes us feel good, strengthens us and can bring a little more natural happiNESS into everyday life long after the retreat is over.

During this retreat, the Happiness Session with Edith Aigner focuses on breathwork, cold-water immersion and mental strength. Discover how conscious breathing, embracing the cold and simple mental practices can support your sense of wellbeing – and how small, practical impulses can become part of your everyday routine.

Breathe. Feel. Challenge yourself. And take something home that lasts far beyond these four days.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have any previous experience of Reformer Pilates?

No. The sessions are tailored to different levels of experience, so that both beginners and more experienced participants can take part. More important than previous experience is a willingness to engage in controlled, slow movements.

How cold is the water when you take an ice bath?

Ice bathing takes place in a natural swimming pond or cold-water pool at controlled, low temperatures and is supervised throughout. A breathwork session is held beforehand to prepare participants specifically for the experience, ensuring a calm and safe start.

What should I bring with me?

Comfortable, warm workout clothes for Pilates and breathwork, a bathrobe and swimwear for the ice bath, as well as warm clothing for moving between the different areas. Non-slip socks are recommended for the Reformer.
