Sauna Days in November 2026 at Nesslerhof
Warmth, herbs and show infusions in an adults-only spa in the Austrian Alps
The Nesslerhof sauna days take place from 13 to 16 November 2026 at the 5-star wellness hotel Nesslerhof in Großarl, in the Salzburg region of Austria. Over three days, Barbora and Hendrik host six sauna infusions a day, from modern classic infusions and show performances to traditional herbal rituals. The package combines the sauna days with your stay in the Großarl Valley.
As November days grow shorter, a sauna break in the Alps is at its most inviting: heat, the scent of mountain herbs and music, followed by crisp alpine air and calm in the generous adults-only spa. This is the time our sauna days are made for, in the spirit of natural happiNESS.
An infusion (German: Aufguss) is a sauna ritual in which a host pours scented water over the hot stones and circulates the heat with towels, creating waves of warmth, aroma and atmosphere.
Included amenities:
- For stays of 2 nights or more in the room or suite of your choice
- Kulinarium by ness, including breakfast, a snack, and a 5-course dinner
- Participation in the daily steam sessions during Sauna Days in the Event Sauna and the Swiss Stone Pine Sauna
- Spa by ness—spacious wellness area & 800 m² natural swimming pond
- Fit by ness—participation in the indoor & outdoor fitness program as well as the MOVEember program
- Free participation in the varied “Berg-Gesund” program
- Free underground parking
Sauna Ritual Formats: What to Expect
The Nesslerhof sauna days offer four infusion formats. Each blends heat, scent and atmosphere in its own way.
Modern classic infusion
A modern classic infusion reinterprets the traditional sauna infusion: three rounds with high-quality essential oils, set to carefully chosen music. Some are calm and relaxing, others powerful and dynamic.
Theme modern classic infusion
In a theme infusion, music, scents and movement follow a single idea, turning the sauna session into a journey. "Japanese Journey" brings Japanese-inspired sounds and aromas, while "Around the Fire" recalls an evening by the fire with warm, earthy scents.
Herbal experience: the herbal ritual
The herbal ritual puts nature at the centre: organic herbs, smoke rituals, herbal infusions and traditional towel-waving techniques. These ceremonies in the Zirben Sauna ground the body, quiet the mind and connect you with nature.
Show infusion
In a show infusion, the sauna becomes a stage. Music and staging create intense moments, from an emotional solo performance to the team show "Emily & Tom" by Hendrik and Barbora together.
